Ozone is a gas that is generated by passing the oxygen in regular air through an electrical corona spark, or by ultraviolet light passing through an oxygen-rich atmosphere.

Ozone is created naturally on Earth during thunderstorms, and makes up a key

UV-blocking layer in the upper atmosphere.

Ozone (O3) is a non-polluting oxidizer. It is made from breathable oxygen in the air (O2) with a third oxygen molecule with an unstable bond.

Ozone is reactive, meaning that the extra oxygen atom will detach from the O3 structure, bind to other molecules, and oxidize/neutralize airborne particles and other elements.

After treatment, ozone reverts back to normal oxygen in about twenty to thirty minutes.

(This time depends upon temperature and saturation.)

This oxidation process is useful for several remediation circumstances and services.
